The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) announced on 11 August 2023 that it has commenced targeted consultations on the implementation of Pillar 2 global minimum tax rules. As planned, the income inclusion rule and domestic minimum tax will apply from 1 January 2024 and the undertaxed profits rule will apply from 1 January 2025.
