On 25 November 2020, the Austrian Council of Ministers authorized the negotiation of an amending protocol to the 1995 income and capital tax treaty with Norway to bring it in line with minimum BEPS standards. Any resulting protocol would be the third to amend the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
