On 14 November 2008, the parliament adopted the State Budget Act for 2009 and amendments to the Individual Income Tax Law (IITL), the Corporate Income Tax Law (CITL) and the VAT Law. The amendments generally take effect on 1 January 2009. The amendments to the VAT Law apply from 29 November 2008.
