Officials from Cyprus and Vietnam met on 21 June 2024 to discuss bilateral relations, including the continued negotiation of an income tax treaty. Negotiations first began in 2015. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
