According to a release from the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Economy, officials from France and Kyrgyzstan met on 17 November 2021 to discuss trade and economic cooperation and agreed to accelerate negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind directly between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
