On 6 December 2018, Jersey approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Mauritius. The treaty, signed 3 March 2017 ({News-2017-03-10/T/3-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
