On 21 February 2024, Moldova's Cabinet of Ministers approved the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Latvia. The agreement, signed 11 December 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
