According to a newsletter published by the Mauritius Revenue Authority, officials from Mauritius and Senegal met 26 February to 2 March 2018 for the negotiation of a new income tax treaty. The treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 2002 tax treaty between the two countries.
