Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue has published a copy of the Tax Laws (Amendment) Ordinance 2025, which was promulgated (enacted) on 2 May 2025. One of the main amendments of the Ordinance effectively empowers the tax authority to demand immediate payment of taxes even if a stay is granted or an appeal is pending.
