Paraguay has added new value added tax (VAT) exemptions for several goods and services. The newly exempted goods and services include:

• Cultural and sport supplies from not-for-profit organizations
• Electronic and printed books and newspapers
• Equipment and hardware for schools and universities
• Trading in shares and foreign currencies
