On 24 August 2018, the Spanish Cabinet approved for ratification the pending income tax treaty with Cape Verde. The treaty, signed 5 June 2017, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force three months after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
