On 20 March 2019, the Bulgarian government approved the signing of a draft income tax treaty with Pakistan. Negotiations for the treaty were concluded with the initialing of the treaty in April 2017. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
