The United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee ratified the new income tax treaty and protocol between the United StaTes and Belgium, signed on 27 November 2006, on 14 December 2007. Once in force and effective, the new treaty and protocol will generally replace the  Belgium-United States income tax treaty of 9 July 1970.
