On 1 September 2019, the United Arab Emirates Cabinet approved the pending income tax treaty with South Sudan and the pending protocol to the 2000 tax treaty with Belarus. The treaty with South Sudan was signed on 23 April 2019 and is the first of its kind between the two counties.
