The United Arab Emirates Cabinet of Ministers approved the pending income tax treaty with Guyana on 10 December 2023. The treaty, signed 24 March 2022, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year in which it was signed (i.e., 1 January 2022).
